The Panzerjäger V, also known as: Jagdpanther, was a combination of the excellent mobility and reliability of the Panther tank chassis and the superb performance and vast power of the 88mm KwK 43. This resulted in a fast, heavily armored, heavily armed and manoeuvrable tank destroyer with a very low silhouette. It soon became plight of allied armor, presenting a real threat to the abundant, unconcealed allied advance; the Jagdpanther, along with many other of its smaller relatives took a large part in delaying the allied advance into the Third Reich.
